RecruitApp.ai Version 6: What’s New
Version 6 is one of the biggest releases in RecruitApp.ai’s history. It’s built around a single shift: help public safety recruiting teams act on what’s happening in their pipeline instead of constantly hunting for what’s slipping through it.
The result is a faster, more proactive platform that gives recruiters back time for the work that actually moves applicants forward — and surfaces the calls, follow-ups, and at-risk events that used to fall through the cracks.
Here’s what’s new.
A new Dashboard that works like a command center
Version 6 includes a completely rebuilt Dashboard.
Recruiters used to spend a real part of every day “checking the system” — opening tables, running filters, scanning for what needed attention. The new Dashboard inverts that. Instead of static lists of records, it uses proactive Activity Monitors that summarize recent activity across prospects, contacts, events, and campaigns and highlight what needs action next.
In one view, recruiters can see:
- New prospect and contact activity
- Welcome calls that still need to be completed
- Confirmation calls for upcoming events
- Unread text messages
- Events with low registration
- Unconfirmed attendees
- Scheduled campaigns, campaigns currently sending, and recently completed campaign activity
- And so much more!
The shift is from “checking the system” to acting on what the system is already telling you. The Dashboard now functions as a daily recruiting command center — a clearer view of what’s happening, what’s coming up, and what needs attention right now.
A redesigned applicant-facing experience
The pages a prospect actually sees — application registration, contact registration, and the events portal — have all been redesigned and modernized.

Drop-off happens at every public-facing step. A confusing form, a clunky event registration, or an outdated-looking page is often the difference between a completed application and a lost candidate. The cleaner, agency-branded pages in Version 6 reduce friction at exactly those moments. Each public-facing step is faster, clearer, and easier to complete — which means more prospects make it through.
Smarter events: duplication, rich descriptions, and a wider reach
Version 6 makes events faster to create, better looking, and easier to promote.

Every event is now a template. Quickly duplicate any existing event and set a new date and time — no more rebuilding recurring testing events, info sessions, or orientations from scratch.
Rich HTML event descriptions. Event descriptions now support rich HTML formatting everywhere they appear — on public-facing pages and in emails — so agencies can publish polished, branded event details instead of plain text.
A rebuilt Internal Events archive. The Internal Events archive has been rebuilt with both calendar and list views. Calendar view gives a quick schedule overview; list view makes it easier to scan, sort, and manage event records in detail. Use whichever fits how your team thinks about upcoming activity.
The events widget now works across multiple websites. RecruitApp’s events widget lets agencies display upcoming recruitment events directly on their own websites. The widget can now be used on multiple authorized domains, so the same live event listings can appear on an agency site, a dedicated recruiting site, a city portal, and anywhere else recruiting happens online.
Disposition tracking with automatic re-engagement
Failure dispositions at testing events can now be configured with re-eligibility dates — for example 1 month, 3 months, or 1 year — for non-permanent disqualifiers.

When a failed prospect becomes re-eligible, the system automatically re-engages both the applicant and the recruiter. Candidates who didn’t make it on the first attempt no longer disappear from the pipeline; they come back at exactly the right time, with no manual tracking required.
A rebuilt chat interface
The chat interface has been rebuilt from the ground up with stronger sorting, searching, filtering, and saved views.

For agencies handling high volumes of SMS conversations, finding the message that actually matters used to mean scrolling. Now recruiters can pull up unread messages, event-related conversations, specific applicants, or follow-ups that need attention in seconds. Saved views turn recurring workflows — “everyone I need to confirm for Saturday’s testing event,” for example — into a single click.
Longer text messages. The SMS limit has been increased beyond 160 characters, so recruiters can send complete messages without splitting them up or trimming the details that matter.
Custom fields and global search

Custom fields for prospects and contacts. Admins can now define an unlimited number of custom fields — a bib number for testing events, a referral source, a preferred shift, whatever your agency tracks. Custom fields are fully integrated into search and Analytics, so the data you collect is data you can actually use.
Global search in the navbar. A quick global search has been added to the navigation bar. Search by name, email, phone number, or any custom field and jump straight to the right record from anywhere in the platform.
New bulk actions
Repetitive one-record-at-a-time admin is one of the biggest time drains in recruiting. Version 6 introduces new bulk actions to address it.

Recruiters can now:
- Bulk add prospects and contacts to events
- Bulk update applicant tracking stages
Combine these with existing filtering and sorting to build the exact group you need, then update everyone in one step. This is especially useful after testing events, info sessions, interviews, or any moment when a batch of applicants needs to move forward together. Less time managing records, more time moving applicants through the hiring process.
Improved mobile and tablet experience
Recruiting doesn’t happen at a desk. Version 6 brings major mobile and tablet improvements across the platform, including responsive layouts, alternate mobile navigation tabs, and redesigned search and filtering tools.
Search and filter controls now open as native-style bottom slide-up panels — easier to use one-handed, easier to use in the field. This makes a real difference when working career fairs, managing check-ins at recruiting events, hosting info sessions, or reviewing records away from a computer.
Public access registration for outreach Apps
The Apps interface has been redesigned and expanded with new public access registration options.

Previously, outreach Apps were primarily designed for staff-assisted registration — a recruiter hosting sign-ups from a tablet or event laptop. With public access registration, agencies can now open selected Apps for direct public use through shared links or QR codes.
This opens up new ways to collect registrations:
- Pre-event sign-ups promoted through email or social media
- QR codes on printed flyers, posters, or recruitment materials
- Events where staff aren’t actively managing every registration
The result is more reach, more registrations, and less staffing pressure at events.
Upcoming event details on the Contacts archive
The Contacts archive now shows upcoming event information directly in the table view, matching what’s already available in the Prospects archive.

Recruiters can now see who’s already attached to an upcoming event without opening each record individually. Especially useful when reviewing event attendance, preparing outreach, or confirming who still needs follow-up.
Rebuilt Analytics
Analytics has been rebuilt to support more flexible, detailed, and actionable reporting.

Recruiters can now drill into recruiting activity with more precise filters, isolating exactly the data they need — by date range, applicant group, event type, outreach activity, custom fields, and other recruiting conditions. Date range comparisons make it easy to see how recruiting activity is changing over time: applicant volume, event performance, outreach results, follow-up trends.
Improved PDF reporting makes it easier to produce polished, command-level reports for leadership, executive staff, and other stakeholders.
